Writing Personal Statement For Social Work Cover Letter To Unknown Project Thesis Ntnu Webmail Structuring Scientific Activities By Co-author Analysis Essay

One year later…

The past couple of weeks have been a very busy one for me, that is why you have not heard from me in a while. I have been working, trying to submit assignments on time etc and just trying to survive this new normal. I was so caught up in everything that I didn’t even notice that I began this blog a year ago. A year…wow! Already. Time does fly!

The planned celebration did not happen but as I reflected on the past year with me trying hard to keep pace by consistently writing and sharing, I realized that I have learnt a few things which I would like to share with you.

1.You do not have to be perfect before starting any project that you have in mind. Just start!I Before I started this blog, I knew next to nothing…and I still don’t know much about this blogging life . I just kept pushing things back so I could learn everything before I begin and then I said to myself “you know what…lets just do it and see what happens. ” I am not where I want to be but I am also not where I was, so I encourage you to start and you can learn along the way. The Lord knows I have so much to learn and it can be frustrating but rewarding when it all works out.

2. Trying to stay consistent was my goal. The plan was that every Monday, I will drop a post…sharp! But as you know that didn’t always happen. There were times I couldn’t share on Monday, so I would share on Wednesday or Thursday. On other days, I couldn’t share at all because life just served me different things and I just couldn’t keep up with the pace. I am not going to continue giving excuses but I always give myself a hard time whenever I can’t post something and I am learning to give myself some grace. So, from now on, I am going to be consistent but when I am unable to do so, I will give myself some mercy and take care of me so I can give you the best version of myself…because as the saying goes, I cannot pour from an empty cup.

3. The last thing I learnt this year is to continue to share my story, have fun and enjoy the journey. Do not bother too much about what people think because people will always have something to say. My new thing is ” what you think of me is none of my business, but what is important is what I think of myself (I read it somewhere…I can’t remember). When I read it, I had a light bulb moment. Sometimes we get so caught up on what people will think about us, or what they will say about what we are doing that we lose sight of who we are and begin to function on the projections of others. Please, this year, with all its happenings has shown us that we do not have time for that…be yourself, share your story and do what works for you. I am going to work on doing this daily in every area of my life…and I hope you do too.

Well, cheers to a whole year of trying to do this thing called blogging…thank you to everyone who has ever read, shared my posts or sent me a message or supported in your own way. I appreciate it all! For this new year, I am going to do my best to share more about sickle cell but also about other topics that I want to talk about; after all the blog ‘s name is Sickle Cell and everything life…I may share some everything life posts once in a while and I hope that you will continue to support me on this journey. I am hopeful that bigger and better things awaits all of us. For now, please continue to stay safe…wear your masks (auntie coro did not come to play), wash your hands well and practice social distancing. See you all next week…Monday? Tuesday? I don’t know yet but it will be next week. Toodles…see you soon!

By the way…if you are not following me on Instagram, you totally should….its @vanessaomorgan. I will be sharing more things there too. Ok..now, bye for real and a happy anniversary to me!!

Happy one year sweetheart. Keep soaring higher. Thanks for the amazing tips. When I started my YouTube channel, I didnt even know how to edit the videos. I kept looking for a reason not to start. Since 2015 I have been planning . The moment I took that bold step, my brain went to work. I am learning things as time goes. And it has turned out to be very interesting. I am so proud of myself right now.

I wish you the very best in your journey journey!
